Women/Men of Unity – Sat., March 13, and April 10, from 10:00 to 11:30 am. The topic under discussion is THE HANDBOOK OF POSITIVE PRAYER by Hypatia Hasbrouck. Refreshments will be served. Facilitated by Bernie Thauland, LUT. All are welcome to attend.

American Passion Play – Sat., March 13, from 8:15 am - 8:30 pm. Meet at the church at 8:15 am for a motor coach bus ride to the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts in Bloomington, Illinois, where we will attend a performance of the “American Passion Play.” We will return to the church at 8:30 pm. Cost for the play, lunch, and transportation is $60.00. Please sign up in the Book Room by Sunday, February 28.

Express Your Divine Image, Sun., April 11, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. Discover how your external image and vibration of colors can compliment how you communicate your spiritual nature. Judy Lucas, LUT, is the instructor for this class. All aspects of Judy’s career – hairstyling, image and speaking – are true passions in life and a blend of talents in sync with her personal mission and life journey to help others to combine their inner and outer beauty.

Licensed Unity Teachers Great Lakes Regional Workshop – Fri., April 30, from 6:30 – 8:30 pm, and Sat., May 1, from 9 am to 5 pm. The theme of this workshop for LUTs and LUT Candidates in the Great Lakes Region is “Visions and Gifts of Leadership in 2010.” Spiritual networking is planned for Friday evening, and Saturday’s program includes speakers and discussion groups. UNITY RADIO ONLINE

Join Rev. Helice Greene, Rev. Richard Billings and Jun Mhoon every Friday at 1:00 PM online at “UNITY.FM” radio.

The Program is called “Conscious Content” and is hosted by Jun Mhoon. Each week Helice, Richard, and Jun will talk about Unity Principles and living life today Consciously. For life truly is Consciousness. This hour long program will feature guests and lots of enlightening information about Unity past and present.

BOARD OF TRUSTEE MEETING

Our meeting began with prayer followed with a reading of minutes. Carl Nawrot gave a detailed financial report followed with discussion.

We are all grateful for the upswing in giving and wish to thank each and every individual for their role in supporting the work of Unity of Oak Park. Time was spent in preparation for the Annual Meeting which will be on Sunday, March 7, 2010. A light lunch will be served after the eleven o’clock service for those attending the Annual Meeting, which will begin at 1:00 pm. All members are encouraged to attend.

Wendy Gruen, chairperson, has made the decision not to run again because of personal reasons. We are deeply grateful for her years of service during a very demanding and difficult time. Her expertise was a blessing to the Center as she and Gary Loeffler guided us through the renovation of the roof. A big thank you to both of them.
A special thank you to those who made special contributions over and above the tithing in order to complete the repair work and painting of the building. We bless you and give thanks to your commitment.

Communications were read and discussed by the Board. We look forward to a New Year together when as a Unity family we will grow spiritually and with grace.
